There has been yet another death from contaminated heroin in the UK. How many deaths do we need before heroin prescribing is rolled out, before the market is regulated? Enough!!!!
Detectives have launched an investigation after a man died at a house in Canterbury last night, possibly of contaminated heroin.
Officers were called to the house in London Road at 11.30pm by ambulance staff when the 43-year-old man became ill. He was later pronounced dead.
Detective Chief Inspector Emma Banks said: “It is believed the man may have injected heroin just prior to his death and drug users should be aware of the possibility that the drug was contaminated.”
A 41-year-old man from Canterbury was arrested and interviewed about the supply of controlled drugs.
